Artist Statement

My paintings grow out of a lifelong sense of connection with the natural world. Whether I’m studying the movement of an animal, watching the way light shifts across a landscape, or noticing small details in the environment, I feel a deep pull toward capturing these moments. Painting becomes my way of honoring them—of slowing down and truly seeing.

I’m inspired by the dramatic lighting found in Baroque art, which echoes the intensity I often feel when experiencing nature directly. At the same time, I’m drawn to the vibrant colors and expressive brushwork of Impressionism, Post‑Impressionism, Fauvism, and Expressionism, all of which reflect the emotional charge that nature gives me. Through these inspirations, I aim to capture not only what I see, but also the energy, emotion, and immediacy of the moment—inviting viewers to pause, observe, and reconnect with the world around them.
