For as long as I can remember, my love for animals has been completely intertwined with my passion for drawing and painting. Animals have always been a necessary part of my life, a constant presence stretching from my very first canary and turtle to a lifetime shared with beloved dogs and cats.
A pivotal shift occurred in 1995 when I brought home my first cat, Nadia. I felt an overwhelming need to paint her portrait, realizing that a standard photograph simply couldn't capture the depth of my feelings for her. From that moment until now, capturing the spirit of pets and the vibrant birds that visit my garden has been a vital part of my artistic practice. These portraits are more than likenesses—they are a tribute to the creatures who ground us and enrich our worlds.
