The Flower Series

Launched in 2005, this series began as a small-format, close-up exploration of Miami's vibrant botanical landscape. By placing South Florida’s lush flowers against solid backgrounds, I captured the intense color of the environment a satisfying collection that I traveled with to art shows across Florida for two years. 

As the series concluded, my focus shifted. In two final, pivotal pieces, I merged these botanical forms with the human figure, transforming the literal beauty of the flower into a surreal symbol of our internal landscape.
